The Award aims to support and promote the musical culture
produced in the Venetian regions.
It consists of the realization of
a special edition in 4,000 copies of the selected recording
and its distribution to a worldwide opinion leader mailing list;
it also includes a cash prize
and a concert performance of the interpreters
in a prestigious venue.

Two assignment methods

1. Self-nomination. Candidatures made by ensembles that propose
a recording project not yet realized
on the themes given by the Masi Foundation
can be taken into consideration. In this case the prize will also cover
the costs of the recording at a professional studio.

2. Direct assignment. The Award can be assigned directly
by a commission of experts of the Masi Foundation who chooses
a CD already produced and available on the market
in line with the Foundation's themes
(record companies and interpreters
can suggest recordings on the proposed subjects).
